Dr. Park received his MD and completed his radiology residency and interventional radiology fellowship training at the Kyungpook National University/Hospital in South Korea. He completed additional vascular and interventional radiology fellowship training at the University of 
Michigan Medical Center in 2005-2006. After his 15 years career he joined the UVA interventional radiology group in 2009. In 2022, he joined the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center as a full professor. 
  
Dr. Park's primary clinical and research focus centers around embolotherapy, thyroid ablation, congenital vascular anomalies, and lymphatic interventions. He has started thyroid ablation program first in the USA. Dr. Park is very engaged with teaching younger generations and has served as a mentor to many premedical and medical students who are interested in the vascular and interventional radiology field.
